Steve Keen is an Australian post-Keynesian economist and Honorary Professor at University College London. Formerly Head of the School of Economics at Kingston University, London, he is the author of Debunking Economics (Zed, 2001, expanded 2011) and The New Economics: A Manifesto (Polity, 2022). He is crowdfunded via Patreon to continue independent research, including modelling that warned of the 2008 crisis.
