Matthew Alford is a lecturer in politics at the University of Bath whose work uses Herman and Chomsky's propaganda model to examine how government agencies shape entertainment media. He co-authored National Security Cinema (2017) on Pentagon and CIA influence in Hollywood and co-produced the documentary Theaters of War (2022).
