Asad Zaman is a Pakistani economist trained at MIT and Stanford who has taught at Columbia, Pennsylvania, Bilkent and the Lahore University of Management Sciences. He served as director-general of the International Institute of Islamic Economics in Islamabad from 2002-2013 and is the author of Statistical Foundations of Econometric Techniques and a wide body of work on Islamic economics and the limits of mainstream methodology.
