Ann Pettifor is a British political economist who directs Policy Research in Macroeconomics (PRIME) and co-led the Jubilee 2000 debt-cancellation campaign. She predicted the 2008 financial crisis in The Coming First World Debt Crisis (2006) and co-authored the original Green New Deal (2008), later expanded in The Case for the Green New Deal (Verso, 2019).
